Marcos Peinado

In his work, Marcos Peinado revises existing spaces or architectures to “build” them again, synthesizing them under his pictorial perspective. Through light, shadow, color, structures and geometries, he builds compositions and abstractions that endow these spaces with new singular meanings. Peinado expresses his sensitivity by transcribing what his eye catches in a new summarized and condensed scenario that transmits calm and a mysterious serenity.

Peinado is interested in the essence of the geometric volumes that he creates by interacting with color. Through them he intends to return to his origin, to a beginning, to innocence, to the simple and timeless, thus recovering a certain vital synthesis from a protective spirituality. In short, connecting geometry with the sacred and the divine.’

Marcos Peinado was born in Barcelona in 1976 where he lives, works and has his studio. At the end of the nineties he studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona specializing in design and painting. Since then, in his day-to-day life, he has combined both aspects at a work and personal level, having held various individual and collective exhibitions of his work in Europe (Paris, Berlin, London, Barcelona, etc); participated in national and international competitions and collaborated in the organization of artistic-cultural programs.
